اليوم عيد الأب

 

لا يحظى "عيد الأب" بالحفاوة الكبيرة التى يحظى بها عيد الأم سواء فى مصر أو العالم أجمع، كون الأم دائما هى الأقرب لقلب الأبناء فضلا عن دورها الكبير الذى لا ينكره إلا جاحد عاق فى تربية أبنائها وتضحياتها الغالية من أجلهم.

ويتم الاحتفال بعيد الأب فى أيام مختلفة فى جميع أنحاء العالم، ففى البلدان التى يعتنق أفرادها المذهب الكاثوليكى فإن الاحتفال بـ"عيد الأب" كان منذ القرون الوسطى فى الـ 19من مارس من كل عام حيث يوافق عيد القديس يوسف النجار، وقد تم الحفاظ على تاريخ 19 مارس فى بعض البلدان، حيث أصبح تقليدا موروثا، وخصوصاً فى أمريكا اللاتينية.

فيما تبنت بلدان أخرى غير أمريكا اللاتينية موعد "عيد الأب"، فى ثالث يوم أحد من شهر يونيو من كل عام، وعلى رأس هذه البلدان الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية وبريطانيا وكندا حيث تم إنشاء واحدة من الاحتفالات الأولى للآباء فى عام 1912، بينما تحتفل به أستراليا فى أول يوم أحد من شهر سبتمبر، إلا أن الأشهر عالميا هو الاحتفال فى ثالث أحد من شهر يونيو والذى يوافق اليوم 21 يونيو.

عيد الأب

وأول من جاءته فكرة تخصيص يوم لتكريم الأب هى سونورا لويس سمارت دود من سبوكِين بولاية ميتشيجان بالولايات المتحدة فى عام 1909م بعد أن استمعت إلى موعظة دينية فى يوم الأم.

وأرادت سونورا أن تكرم أباها وليم جاكسُون سمَارت، وكانت زوجة سمارت قد ماتت عام 1898م، وقام بمفرده بتربية أطفاله الستة، ولذلك قدمت سونورا عريضة تُوصى بتخصيص يوم للاحتفال بالأب، وأيدت هذه العريضة بعض الفئات.

وتتويجا لجهود سونورا دود احتفلت مدينة سبوكين بأول عيد أب فى 19 يونيو عام 1910م، والذى كان يوافق حينها ثالث أحد من يونيو، وانتشرت هذه العادة فيما بعد فى معظم الدول.

وخلال هذا اليوم يقدم الأبناء ما يستطيعون من هدايا لآبائهم أسوة بـ عيد الأم فى معظم دول العالم، اعترافا بما يقومون به من جهد وتعب لتوفير العيشة الآمنة لأبنائهم.

 Father’s Day is celebrated on different days all over the world. In countries whose members embrace the Catholic faith, the celebration of “Father’s Day” has been since the Middle Ages on the 19th of March of each year, when it falls on the feast of Saint Joseph the Carpenter, and the date of 19 has been preserved. It was practiced in some countries, where it became an inherited tradition, especially in Latin America

 While countries other than Latin America adopted the date of "Father's Day", on the third Sunday of June every year, and at the head of these countries are the United States of America, Britain and Canada, where one of the first celebrations for fathers was established in 1912, while Australia celebrates it in The first Sunday in September, but the most famous globally is the celebration on the third Sunday of June, which falls on 

June 21.

 Father's Day

 The first person who came up with the idea of ​​dedicating a day to honor the father was Sonora Lewis Smart Dodd of Spokane, Michigan, in the United States in 1909 AD, after she listened to a religious sermon on Mother's Day.

 And Sonora wanted to honor her father, William Jackson Smart, and Smart's wife had died in 1898, and he alone raised his six children, so Sonora submitted a petition recommending a day to celebrate the father, and this petition supported some groups.

 As a culmination of Sonora Dodd's efforts, the city of Spokane celebrated the first Father's Day on June 19, 1910 AD, which was then the third Sunday of June, and this custom later spread in most countries.

 During this day, children present whatever gifts they can to their fathers, similar to Mother's Day in most countries of the world, in recognition of their efforts and hard work to provide a safe living for their children.
